Electro-Voice EVC Install Loudspeakers

We’re taking a quick look at the EVC Series from Electro-Voice.
These compact passive loudspeakers are ideal for permanent installations in small to medium size spaces, offering reliable, all-round performance at an affordable price point.
Construction
Built with a solid Birch cabinet and steel grille with hydrophobic cloth, EVC speakers have a rotatable horn for horizontal or vertical mounting.
As a dedicated install box, EVC speakers don’t have pole holes or handles. The speakers can be surface mounted using the separately available U or Omni brackets, which attach via 8 x M10 mounting points on the top, sides and rear of the cabinets.
Models
There are four models of EVC speakers to choose from with 8”, 12” and 15” speakers with 1.25” tweeters and an 18” sub. Each model is available in black or white, with 2 dispersion angles to choose from. All EVC speakers are IP44 rated for indoor use, with IP55 weatherised versions of all models for more challenging outdoor environments.
As for the audio range, EVC speakers have a frequency response at -3dB of 70Hz to – 22kHz, and a max SPL of 120 – 129dB depending on the model.
This gives you the flexibility to choose the right model to suit the exact specialisations of you space.
Inputs Outputs
EVC speakers are nicely complemented by the Dynacord C series with power and signal delivered by install friendly Euroblock connectors.
There’s also an optional high-quality transformer – the TK-150. This makes the speakers compatible with 100V line systems, and thanks to EV’s built-in Automatic Saturation Compensation, maximises signal transfer between the amp and the speaker, without sacrificing audio quality and protecting electronics.
