All Souls College SpeechLine Integration by CAV Oxford

All Souls College, Oxford, founded in 1430, is a unique institution characterised by its Fellows-only structure, supporting research and teaching. Due to this, it is important that All Souls College has up-to-date equipment for when their Fellows hold lectures and readings - so they called in the pros, CAV Oxford!
The existing audio system at All Souls College faced several challenges. The space was built with stone walls and a high apex roof, causing acoustic difficulties, resulting in poor sound distribution and audio issues during events. Plus, the current system was comprised from various different pieces of equipment which was becoming hard for All Souls College to operate. The final requirement was that the new equipment needed to have remote engineering for ease of use.
CAV Oxford proposed a solution centred around Sennheiser’s SpeechLine Digital Wireless System. The decision to use SpeechLine was driven by its user-friendly design, featuring intuitive controls and built-in functionalities, which simplified operation even for non-technical people. The system as standard was also equipped with on/off buttons and charging docs to eliminate previous battery-related issues, furthering its practicality.
Sennheiser SpeechLine's intuitive interface and simple controls ensured effortless operation for all Fellows. The system's robust design and built-in features, like automatic audio level management, eliminated the need for additional equipment outside SpeechLine. Custom-painted speakers seamlessly blended with the college's aesthetic with its unobtrusive design to keep the 1430’s architecture alive. The SpeechLine also comes with Dante integration, AES-265 encryption, Optimal speech indelibility and more, to ensure All Souls College was getting the most effective system.
The rack (built by CAV Oxford) containing all the equipment was a work of art and beautifully presented.
