K-array Impresses at Dublin Seminar

Posted on: 31st October 2017

Ireland’s first dedicated K-array seminar has been hailed as a success, bringing together leading systems integrators, AV suppliers and audio engineers to experience a broad range of unique K-array technologies. Jointly hosted by UK distributor 2B Heard and Irish dealer Professional Audio Ltd (PAL), the event offered a full day of demonstrations ranging from loudspeakers so discreet that they fit in the palm of your hand to concert touring systems.

The seminar followed the recent appointment of Dublin-based PAL as the exclusive Irish dealer for K-array’s renowned range of installed, portable and touring sound systems. The first of a number of planned events, it served both as an introduction and an opportunity for selected guests to “rediscover K-array and what makes it so special,” explains PAL Business Development Manager Gareth McCarthy.

“K-array is known as a distinctly high-end brand within Ireland,” he continues. “But when our guests experienced the benefits and flexibility of K-array’s unique technology, especially compared with more generic, budget alternatives, any doubts in the room quickly turned to interest. The event has definitely created excitement in the Irish market for K-array.”

Led by Dave Wooster and Sam Nankivell of 2B Heard, the day began with a focus on K-array’s installation solutions, from tiny Lyzard KZ12 mini line array elements to discreet Kayman KY102 columns and the Anakonda KAN200 flexible array. In the afternoon, portable systems were demonstrated including the Pinnacle KR102, KR202 and KR802, after which attendees learned about K-framework 2 management software. The day concluded with an insight into K-array’s flagship Firenze concert series systems, including the flat-panel KH8, as recently deployed to great acclaim in London’s iconic O2 Arena for reformed pop band Bros.

“This seminar was an opportunity for K-array to make a big impression in Ireland and it was a tremendous success,” comments 2B Heard’s Dave Wooster. “We were delighted by the efforts made by our partner, PAL, and we now feel very confident that Irish customers understand K-array and are enthusiastic about what it might mean for their business.”

“Everyone walked away with a good knowledge of what K-array offers, the impressive scope of what the technology can achieve and how it can directly benefit the bottom line,” adds McCarthy. “Every attendee has since offered enthusiastic feedback and we’re really looking forward to hosting a larger event in 2018, including an outdoor presentation.”
