Leisuretec Warehouse Expansion Project 2022

Okay, this time we’re not joking…
For those that read our blog on April 1 2022, you might be aware of our planned warehouse expansion. However, in reality we’re not growing up; or down; but outwards.
In late 2021 we seized the opportunity to expand our warehouse into a neighbouring unit, adding a massive 7,500ft2 capacity for holding stock ready to ship next day throughout the UK. Providing our customers with a huge choice of solutions is one of our core values, so this move has been key to allowing us to increase our availability and speed of service.
Following a quick lick of paint, knocking forklift access through from our existing warehouse and adding an ultra-fast roller shutter, the real work began to maximise the new space for stock holding. By adding a mixture of vertical pallet and shelf storage, we were able to add an additional 510 stock locations, more than doubling the space in our existing overflow warehouse. This along with the addition of 2 new staff to our warehouse and logistics team has given us greater flexibility to move and organise our stock for more efficient fulfilment of orders and a huge increase in availability.

Never one to rest on our laurels, we have even more exciting plans in the pipeline for 2022 and beyond to further streamline our fulfilment processes. With plans to add more storage locations in our primary warehouse and a powerful new tracking system, we hope to grow our industry leading service and availability to new heights and continue to redefine what it means to be a distributor.
