Lit Event Group Pulls Off Outstanding Show With EW-DX

LiT Event Group was tasked with delivering a full custom-set production for an exclusive party hosted at a 5-star hotel in Reading. The event, held for approximately 60 guests, needed a full audio and lighting to staging and AV solutions package.
Given the high-profile nature of the guests and the premium setting, the production had to meet the same high-end requirements. From an audio perspective, the challenge was working within a limited frequency spectrum in a hotel environment, which often has dense wireless traffic. Another critical element was adhering to the specific technical demands outlined in the band’s rider, requiring a solution capable of delivering clear sound quality and seamless frequency management.
Having recently purchased the EW-DX system from Leisuretec, this gave Lit Event Group 40 extra channels to work from. The EW-DX operates in the 660 MHz range, which allowed plenty of space for the wireless in-ear monitor (IEM) systems, which were running in the 606-650 MHz range. Plus, EW-DX’s digital capabilities and flexibility in the 660 MHz range meant LiT Event Group could allocate their IEMs and other devices without interference, ensuring flawless audio quality throughout the event.
Using Sennheiser’s Wireless Systems Manager, LiT Event Group’s engineers could control all zones and manage frequency allocation remotely, including the ability to mute RF signals for smooth transitions during changeovers.
The EW-DX units exceeded expectations, delivering clear audio quality and providing a robust wireless solution that was both easy to set up and manage. The addition of Dante-enabled quad receivers further enhanced their capabilities, streamlining network audio management for future events.
