JVC's KY Series PTZ cameras offer a high-quality yet budget-friendly robotic camera solution for professional AV productions and installations in corporate, education, sport and any application that requires live camera streams
The range includes HD and 4K models along with SDI outputs, dual-streaming, BCST, NDI|HX & SRT compatibility, up to 30x Zoom and even auto-tracking on the higher models. All models feature IP connectivity for simple control through a web browser the RM-LP100 remote controller and can be powered by PoE+ which makes set-up super quick and easy.
The KY series are available in HD and 4K models meaning you can find the perfect PTZ camera for your spec and budget. 4K is four times the resolution of HD so if purchasing for hire stock, we'd recommend you invest in 4K so you have it in your arsenal if your client requests it.
If you're investing in 4K, don't forget to make sure other parts of your video chain are 4K ready. For example, if using video converters, always make sure you go for 12G-SDI or HDMI2.0.
The KY Series’ powerful zoom lets you easily zoom and focus on a specific subject on stage or in the audience, all locally via the remote control or through the IP network. The range comes in three zoom options: 30x Zoom for the PZ100 HD Cameras, 20x for the PZ200s HD Cameras and then 12x for the PZ400 4K Cameras.
Every model in the KY Series can features PoE+ meaning you can power and control your PTZ camera via a single ethernet cable. This makes set up and control super quick and easy as you don’t have to use any other signal cables and also don’t have to use a local power source.
NDI (Network Device Interface) is a widely used network protocol (HX is a higher spec of NDI) that enables audio, video and metadata signals to be sent over standard networks in real-time. The KY Series support both H.264 and H.265 codecs meaning they very compatible when used with other brands or products in your video signal chain, which can save you from annoying set-up issues you may experience on site.
SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is a separate protocol from NDI and is a video streaming protocol that delivers secure low-latency streaming performance over noisy or unpredictable (lossy) networks, which will minimise any packet-loss, jitters and fluctuating if your PTZ system is deployed on a public network.
Exclusive to the KY-PZ510 PTZ cameras is the automatic tracking (Auto-Tracking) feature. Once enabled, the camera will automatically track a subject and ensure they’re always in the centre of frame. This feature removes the need for a constant camera operator, saving you on hassle and cost, and can be especially useful in a multi-camera setup with each camera focused on a different person.
Control up to 100 PTZ cameras from the easy-to-use RM-LP100E PTZ controller and benefit from a 7" touch screen, tactile pan/tilt/zoom joystick and zoom in/out rocker button. The RM-LP100 is able to provide remote control functions for all JVC PTZ cameras as well as other JVC IP-enabled professional cameras.
