Today we’ll be showing off the brand-new Profile USB Microphone from Sennheiser.

The Profile microphone has been created for podcasting & streaming, and as you can hear, Sennheiser has used their history of creating award-winning microphones to produce a warm & natural sound for your audience.
Built around a German engineered capsule and all housed in robust metal housing, this cardioid condenser microphone provides a sound that will impress both you and your audience, right out of the box.
And to ensure you’re getting the best sound the multi-function LED ring turns from green to orange to indicate when your signal is too hot. This means there’s one less thing to worry about when setting up a podcast session or live stream.
Plug & Play
Powered by the included 1.2m USB-C, the Profile puts audio quality and ease-of-use first without the need for an interface or complex software.

Control
When it comes to control, the Profile mic allows you to customise your sound right at your fingertips.
Don’t get us wrong, software has its place… but the ability to control your sound with the twist of a dial makes all the difference when you’re in the moment.
At the top of the controls, you have a soft-touch mute button which allows you to silence your microphone discreetly.
Gain Control allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the microphone and includes an LED ring to indicate power and audio clipping
Moving down the mic, the Mix Control allows you to balance the levels between your microphone and your device audio so you can monitor what matters to you.
And finally, the dedicated Volume Control gives you quick access to easily adjust your headphone level.
Functionality
As any audio professional will tell you, recording quality is all about microphone placement, and the Profile makes placing your mic in the right spot easy and effective.
As you can see, the Profile features an adjustable tilt function so you can aim the mic directly towards the sound source.
The tilt function also features self-locking joints which ensures the mic angle never slips even with no manual tightening points.
Models
Depending on your needs, the Profile includes either a table stand for compact convenience, plus a 1.2m USB-C Cable or a 3-point self-locking boom arm for optimal positioning.
The extendable boom arm also includes built-in cable management, and the set also includes a 3m USB-C cable and a pouch.
