MTS Live Prepared and Ready for Any Event with the V-8HD

Situated in the Greater Manchester area, MTS Live specialises in orchestrating live events and installations. Specifically in live events, they offer comprehensive production services, ranging from the installation of AV equipment to delivering full technical support during shows.
MTS Live’s most recent project was their involvement in The Orchard Conference, an annual Christian women's gathering. This year, they elevated the technical specifications of the production by incorporating an impressive 8x2m flown video wall, four 1x2m video wall totems, strategically placed TV screens around the stage and various other audio and lighting packages.
A challenge arose when the client specified that the flown video wall needed to be divided into three sections, featuring display slides in the centre and camera feeds on either side. MTS Live didn’t have the equipment in stock to achieve this, so started researching the correct product that would allow them to do this.
Enter the Roland V-8HD video switcher. Within a mere 24 hours of procuring the Roland video switcher, MTS Live had it in their itinerary, thanks to Leisuretec’s immense stock holding and next day delivery. This ensured MTS was prepared & ready to tackle The Orchard Conference project.
The V-8HD was used firstly to control the output of the flown video wall. MTS then ran camera feeds through a separate switcher so they could be mixed independently, which was fed back to the V-8HD along with content computers.
Its two PIP (Picture-in-Picture) engine proved to be the ideal feature for this project too. This hallmark provided MTS Live with complete control over camera feed positions meaning they could project or hide any content required, which MTS Live couldn’t do before with their other switchers.

Therefore, a simple interface ensures they are comfortable using unfamiliar equipment on a fast-paced event."
