Team Leisuretec Receive Artist Treatment at The Great Escape with Sennheiser

On the third weekend in May, a few members of Team Leisuretec were lucky enough to visit The Great Escape Festival in Brighton as guests of Sennheiser. The Great Escape showcases up and coming artists across 35 different venues throughout Brighton, which this year hosted over 700 shows across the weekend making it the festivals most successful year yet.

2018 marked the third year that Sennheiser have been involved with The Great Escape but this year their presence at was bigger and better than ever. Artists performed using Sennheiser’s renowned e835 microphones which could be found at every TGE venue and busking point across the city. But without a doubt, the most awesome part of Sennheiser’s presence was the tour bus. Boasting 3 separate lounge areas, 16 bunks and having just finished touring the country with The Streets, the Sennheiser tour bus was the ultimate rock and roll hang-out.

Throughout Wednesday and Thursday, the tour bus took up pitch right in the heart of the action on Brighton’s Jubilee Street, before heading to The Beach on Saturday; a 2000 capacity festival site new to TGE for 2018 complete with deck chairs and beach huts! The tour bus provided a hub for over 100 artists, vocalists, musicians, and FOH engineers to chill out in and chat about the festival, performing, touring and all-things Sennheiser. The music professionals got the chance to take advantage of Sennheiser’s current Mic of the Month promotion and some very lucky VIP guests came away with a limited edition white 20 YEARS OF EVOLUTION e835 mic.

Team Leisuretec were granted VIP access on the tour bus and received artist treatment while they were visiting; they got their hands on a ton of Sennheiser merch (plus a few beers) and even had their polaroid put up on the Artist Board. The team had the opportunity to visit many unique venues and watch acts from genres across the board; one evening they found themselves partying in the crowd with an international artist who’s gig they’d been to watch the night before!

The event attracts thousands of music fans and professionals from all over the world who, throughout the festival, came together conversing about music and sharing their mutual passion like one giant family. That being so, The Great Escape created an ideal platform for publicity and brand awareness which Sennheiser took full advantage of and executed with style.
