The Mount Without is a breathtaking venue based in the heart of Bristol with 900 years of history supporting dance, art and celebration. The Mount Without is a private venue solely dedicated to providing a high-quality experience from art exhibitions, weddings, and a variety of performance events. Even with its heritage charm, it was time for the venue to upgrade its technical infrastructure and audio capabilities. TMW needed new speakers, microphones and receivers that were sensitive to the building's historic nature but kept up with modern audio needs.
Accommodating various technical components within a singular space necessitated meticulous planning. Multiple site visits were conducted to gauge the venue’s acoustics, aesthetics, and logistical challenges. After extensive trials and acoustic modelling, the team could effectively determine the optimal placement for each element.
Putting Spirolux’s skilled team to the task, Electro-Voice and Sennheiser were quickly chosen as the suitable brands for this top-end install. To update TMW’s sound quality, the Electro-Voice’s EVID C8.2LP 8” long-through ceiling speakers were seamlessly integrated with EV’s Q44II Class AB power amp and microphones from Sennheiser’s EW100 & EW300 series.
