The 4CAT-44R is a robust 1U 19” rack unit allowing the transmission of 4 channels of balanced audio over a single piece of shielded Cat ethernet cable. Designed with passive transformer isolated splits, this unit is perfect for splitting playback tracks or outputs for amp racks. Enhanced with additional features typically found in more traditional line systems, each channel includes an earth lift switch to combat ground loop issues, a 20dB pad to manage hot input levels, and a phase reverse switch for added flexibility. Connect the 4CAT-44R to the 4CAT-4I or 4CAT-12OR via Cat ethernet cable to further expand your audio distribution capabilities.
Kelsey’s 4Cat system passively transmits 4 channels of line/mic and/or AES audio over a single piece of shielded cat cable (Cat5e, Cat6a, or Cat7). This innovative approach retains the reliability and clarity of traditional copper line systems but eliminates the bulk and reduces costs significantly.
